Session Presenter - Dr. Angela Celio Doyle
Angela Celio Doyle, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist and clinical researcher on faculty at The University of Chicago. She is also the Eating Disorders Program Coordinator within The University of Chicago’s Department of Psychiatry (Director: Daniel le Grange, Ph.D.), a program which provides comprehensive outpatient services for the assessment and treatment of adolescents and adults with eating disorders. She received graduate training from Stanford University, San Diego State University, and the University of California, San Diego. Angela is skilled in the Maudsley method (Family Based Treatment) for adolescent eating disorders and is highly regarded by her patients for her warm interpersonal style and encouraging, strength-focused approach.
As a member of the Academy for Eating Disorders and the National Eating Disorder Association, Angela actively works with colleagues around the world in the search for proven, effective methods of preventing and treating eating disorders. Angela has published many scholarly articles and book chapters in the field of eating disorders and has been invited to present her work at national and international conferences. Her research interests include the role of parents and families in helping their adolescents with eating and weight-related problems, the prevention of obesity in adolescents, and the assessment of eating disorders. Angela is particularly enthusiastic about novel applications of the Internet in preventing and treating eating disorders.
