Session Presenter - Gary Direnfeld

Gary Direnfeld is a social worker with more than 25 years of experience working with parents, teens, and young children. Through his private practice in Dundas, Ontario, he provides counseling, mediation, and assessment services on most matters of family life. Courts frequently turn to Gary as an expert on child development, parent-child relations, marital and family therapy, and custody and access recommendations. Gary developed the "I Promise Program,” a teen safe driving initiative.

Gary is also a media personality. He appears regularly on several Canadian television programs and radio talk shows as well hosts his own Canadian TV show – “Newlywed, Nearly Dead.” He is frequently quoted in the media across North America and has his own parenting column in his city's newspaper.
