Dr. Thomas Socha specializes in family communication, children’s communication, lifespan communication, and positive communication. His research is largely focused on family cell phone use in the U.S. and China, positive communication in relationships and groups across lifespan, children’s positive communication development, and parent-child-societal communication.
Dr. Socha has co-written several books including Families Communicating with Children, Positive Communication in Health and Wellness, and others. Dr. Socha graduated with a master’s in Communication from the University of Illinois at Chicago and earned his Ph.D. in Communication Studies from the University of Iowa.
