Bullying and Harassment

Presenters taught parents how to prevent their children from becoming bullies and how to help children who have been victims of harassment. They concluded with identifying gender-driven abuse, recognizing the signs of victimization, developing strategies to end bullying.

Mean Girls and Bullying Boys

Jennifer Bryan offered practical advice and insight into what drives bullies to be mean-spirited. She also offered meaningful tactics to thwart the bullies best efforts.

Ashley Perkinson offered comprehensive and effective training skills for faculty, staff, and administrators to understand key bullying definitions. She also detailed reporting requirements with the most current legal parameters and research surrounding each essential issue for teaching professionals.

The Contemporary Face of Hazing

Presenters discussed hazing as a right of passage, the difference between acceptable bonding activities and hazing practices, and how teens can intervene to stop hazing. These experts worked with teens and college students to define and prevent the emotional and physical harms of hazing.
