Schenika decided to use the bruises she was covering to fuel her global makeup company’s success. Her brand of beauty is about not covering up, but uncovering our truth, our independence and our creative passions! She overcame her abusive relationship and used her vision and strength to create a pathway for people to use makeup in an avant garde and thrivership way.

Schenika Quattlebaum, a determined African American domestic abuse survivor, founded Natalia Me-Gan Beauty on August 9, 2018 and has since been lauded by thousands around the world. Her vision and mission has been featured on Fox 5 DC, ABC 7 (WJLA), NBC25 (WDVM-TV), Fox 29 Good Day Philly (Lifestyle Items from Black Owned Brands), in Essence Magazine (“Top Five Black Beauty Brands You Must Have In Your Cart”), In Touch (“Celebrity Summer Vibes”), Life & Style (“Mother’s Day Gift Guide”), BET.com (for National lipstick day as one of the top brands to shop with) and Stay Magazine (“Top 20 Beauty Must Have’s”).

In sharing her powerful story, Schenika makes her journey and bold leadership accessible and aspirational. She explains her path from abuse to success, describing what is unhealthy and healthy in relationships. Schenika connects with everyone in the room, regardless of their demographic background, educational status, gender, race, or any other identifier. Schenika brings positivity and hope with a powerful message about how all of us can take a stand and work toward ending abuse.
