Abigail Norfleet James, Ph.D., is a world-renowned teacher and expert on gender-based learning.  Abigail has spent her entire career working with students, teachers and parents in classrooms across the US and around the world.  Her services for schools and communities include delivering curriculum & professional development, consultation on gendered education skills, and assistance to parenting groups who seek resources for creating educational opportunities for their children.  Her award-winning book, Teaching the Male Brain: How Boys Think, Feel & Learn in School, has been praised as an excellent tool to effectively understand, teach, support, and guide the development of young men. 

Dr. James earned her B.A. in Science Education from Duke University and both her M.Ed. in Counselors Education and Ph.D. in Educational Psychology at the University of Virginia.
