Exploitation Prevention Strategist

Pronouns: she/her/hers

Ashley-Lauren Elrod is an Advertising Week New York’s award-winning executive producer, survivor leader, whistleblower, intuitive healer, exploitation-prevention strategist, and founder and CEO of Visionary Woman Productions. Her work sits at the intersection of media, advocacy, mental health, policy, partnerships, and social impact, using storytelling and lived experience to influence culture and advance survivor-centered change. Her advocacy and creative work have contributed to nationally recognized campaigns, including KOSA (The Kids Online Safety Act), Dove’s The Cost of Beauty initiative, and she has served in leadership and advisory capacities alongside organizations such as World Without Exploitation, National Children’s Alliance, The Chicago Children’s Advocacy Center, and more.

She is also the creator and founder of The Maya’s Magic Word Project, an early-childhood abuse and exploitation prevention initiative recognized by prominent child and family advocates, designed to equip children, caregivers, and educators with practical tools for safety, body autonomy, and disclosure. Across her speaking, mental health, production, advocacy, and prevention work, Ashley-Lauren is building a body of work centered on one belief: survivors should not only be heard after harm occurs, but should hold meaningful power in shaping the systems, stories, and solutions designed to prevent it.
