Meet Christine Roussel, PharmD, BCOP, BCSCP 

Oncology Pharmacist & Cannabis Expert

Dr. Christine Roussel is affectionately referred as the Toxicology Obsessed Pharmacy Nerd, with an undergraduate degree in Pharmacology and Toxicology and Doctorate in Pharmacy at the University of the Sciences’ Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, where she is faculty and program creator for the Medical Cannabis Certification Program.  By day she is a hospital Vice President with a focus on clinical care and operations, but her passion is empowering people with drug information and protecting healthcare worker DNA from the perils of working with hazardous drugs, like chemotherapy.

She is a Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist and a Board Certified Sterile Compounding Pharmacist.  Through her various teaching relationships, she provides over 100 hours per year on clinical topics from cannabis to oncology to doctors, nurses and pharmacists.   She is the governor-appointed Chairman of the Pennsylvania Board of Pharmacy and appointed to the Pennsylvania Medical Marijuana Advisory Board.  Some of her awards and recognition include the National recognition in 2018 for “40 Under 40 in Oncology,” and the Pennsylvania Society of Health System Pharmacy – Clinician of the Year, Joe E Smith Award 2016 and Pennsylvania Pharmacist of the Year in 2025.
