Rashan Legard is a Veteran, Poet, and International Motivational Trainer whose words ignite change and inspire transformation. A survivor of sexual assault, Rashan turns personal pain into a powerful catalyst for healing and cultural awareness. His electrifying storytelling captivates audiences, from university classrooms to military bases, leaving an indelible impact on everyone he encounters. Rashan’s journey of resilience and advocacy began with a mission to empower others and challenge societal norms.
As the founder of “Spoken Words of Pain,” a pioneering initiative created with Bowie University Cadets, he uses the art of spoken word to spotlight issues like mental health, LGBTQ discrimination, respect for women, and resilience. His work, which has earned recognition from the Department of Defense and the 2021 Independent Review Commission on Sexual Assault in the Military, amplifies the voices of survivors and drives systemic change, underscoring the profound impact of his contributions.
Rashan combines lived experience with professional insight to deliver transformative presentations and workshops on resiliency, male victimization, sexual harassment, and assault prevention. Rashan’s unwavering commitment to creating safer, more equitable spaces resonates with audiences worldwide, equipping them to become change agents and champions of transformational leadership and providing a sense of reassurance and security.
